After a few years of design work changing hands and a website update, Otak’s brand was in need of evaluation. A brand audit resulted in a refreshed set brand guidelines, along with big updates to the marketing team’s core templates: SOQs and Proposals. I lead the charge to update the brand guidelines and apply the new brand system to a wide variety of materials including: brochures, social media graphics, and emails. What resulted was a brand and guide update that brought together the freshness from updated website styling with the best elements of previous years of design work.

SOQS/BROCHURES

Key pieces for selling work in the AEC industry are proposals and SOQs (Statements of Qualification). Working closely with our marketing, architecture, and engineering teams, I developed a new set of templates for both pieces. Templates serve multiple formats and considerations for print and increasingly digital needs, including the use of Issuu.com to improve the experience of the digital flipbook.

CREATIVE CLOUD LIBRARIES

Color palettes and type styles were added to Otak’s main creative cloud library to make it easy for other designers and coordinators to use guideline elements directly in working files.
